These projects range from Crossrail in London, East London Line, Victoria Station Upgrade, Budapest Metro, Dublin Interconnectot, TfL tunnels refurbishment amongst numerous others.The Foundations and Geotechnics sub Division are integral to a wide range of significant multi disciplinary projects throughout the world. The Foundations Engineer will become integral within a range of projects at various levels of responsibility and delivery.It is expected that the successful applicant would bring sufficient Ground Engineering and Civil Engineering expected of a 5 7 years or 7 10 years to the existing team and to be able to deliver projects albeit under the support and guidance of our Principal project managers.The role will involve design and project management. There is also potential for the post holder to take significant responsibility within the teams.If successful, the candidate would be expected to:Design foundations and substructuresDesign Retaining wall systemsDesign concrete foundation elements to current EurocodesDesign major temporary works associated with underground structuresBe fully conversant with soil/structure interaction issues associated with below ground structuresUndertake budgeting and cost controlProduce tender documentationReport production and project management will be required, as will liaison with external clientsThe post holder will be presented with varied and exciting career opportunities within a dynamic team.Candidates should meet the following criteria:Essential requirements:Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering or equivalentHigh level experience in Civil/Geotechnical designSignificant team working experienceClient liaison experienceProject management experienceThe ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients (both written and orally)Desirable requirements:Masters in Civil Engineering or equivalentMott MacDonald Listed in Sunday Times Best Big Companies to work for for six years running.
