This organisation is involved with several large projects focusing on water resources within the lower north island. An exciting opportunity exists within its team for a Civil Engineer with water resources and hydrology experience specifically in flood plain management. This role will see you working on river engineering and flood plain management plans. You will be liaising with internal staff as well as liaising with external stakeholders and land owners during the investigation planning and feasibility studies for these projects. You will have a relevant degree in Water or Natural Resources engineering and your experience with hydraulic projects will help you succeed in this role. You will have skills with investigation and design of projects ranging from flood protection diversion dams catchments studies and irrigation canals. Your excellent spoken and written communication skills will mean you can communicate effectively with internal staff at a technical level as well as liaising with the general public. This role will see you based in the stunning Wairarapa region known for its diverse mix of rivers mountains and coastal areas as well as being close to the many vineyards that populate the area.
