My client is a national company that have secured a number of contracts for the next 5 years. They are constantly involved with many major contractors within the utility sector and with this in mind are looking for a highly experienced Electrical Compliance Manager.The successful candidate will responsible for the following;1 Support and mentoring role for Engineers and Operational staff.2 Lead and be involved in incident investigations. 3 DNO Network exposure and technical discussions at Operational Level with DNO 4 Will assist in the management of the National Electricity Registration Scheme. 5 Would suit someone who is looking to move away from the "hands on" aspects of operation duties (possibly an ex Senior Authorised Person/Appointed Person 6 Will have responsibility to the Area Health and Safety Manager.7 Will work closely with the group wide Electrical Safety Manager.8 Management of electrical technical library.9 Management of a team of Electrical Health and Safety Advisors.10 Will be involved in site inspections at HV Operational level 11 Undertake electrical technical sub contractor evaluations, review and audit. 12 Issuing toolbox talks at an electrical technical Level. 13 Reviewing electrical technical method statements and undertaking risk assessments where appropriate. 14 Have excellent interpersonal skills as you will be required to liaise at all levels. 15 Able to conduct company inductions and health and safety briefings.16 Undertake competency assessments and authorisation of electrical personnel up to 33kv SAP level. 17 Be a confident communicator both on site and in an office environment. 18 Ideally the candidate will have a strong background in the Operational aspects of electrical engineering within a Distribution Network environment and some experience of managing safety, quality and environmental issues on a large contract. 19 It is preferred but not essential that the successful candidate currently holds appropriate Health and Safety qualifications, however if required appropriate training will be given and obtaining the NEBOSH General Certificate (as a minimum will form part of their employment conditions.It is essential that you have had experience as an SAP or an AP and also DNO experience.
