Lead and manage the planning development and delivery of all projects within the signalling division to ensure that all contracts and service agreements are delivered in compliance with contractual SQE legal specifics and obligations. UK Senior Project Manager Signalling To ensure that clients are satisfied with delivery quality and the continuously improve delivery to maintain a competitive edge. 1. Participate as a member of the Head of Signalling team in formulating delivery plans and budgets and in monitoring performance so as to ensure that the delivery targets and margins are fully achieved. 2. Ensure that project managers and their staff plan develop design and implement projects to meet or better tendered margins. Ensure that changes to scope and specifications are managed and that risk registers are robustly reviewed. 3. Manage resources to ensure that all contract/service activities are carried out in accordance with conditions of contract/service agreement health and safety legislation and company procedures. 4. Direct the project managers to comply with procedures and delegated authorities in the delivery of contracts/service agreements and regularly review performance. 5. Critically review P3e project plans to ensure effective delivery plans. These plans should fully resourced costed and updated to produce earned value and other analyses. 6. Review with the resources manager the cross business impact of cumulative resource plans and change plans where possible to ensure maximised resource utilisation. 7. Develop and maintain effective client relationships monitor client satisfaction levels respond urgently to client concerns and ensure improvement plans are developed implemented and shared with clients. 8. Minimise unproductive time and overheads consistent with competitive high quality business ensure forward resource plans provide competitive prices. 9. Ensure through site monitoring that Company policies are implemented consistently and that core values of the Company concerning people are upheld especially those concerned with fairness equal opportunities safety and work life balance. 10. Ensure that applications are certified by clients in the contracted timescale and that clients release cash as contracted. 11. Ensure that monies received are accounted for and allocated in a timely manner. 12. Undertake site safety inspections in line with agreed schedule. 13. Undertake on call duties as required. 14. Turnover and margin meet or exceed targets. 15. Compliance with external legislation as adopted by the company. Accident/safety records within the Group meets with company standards and plans. 16. Company Safety Quality and Environmental procedures implemented and complied with by all employees. SQE KPI's set monitored and achieved. All staff are briefed monthly on safety matters and are aware of their safety roles and responsibilities. 17. Company project management and technical procedures are known by deliver staff and that contracts are delivered in compliance with these and other tendered procedures and that all work practices are analysed to achieve continuous improvement. 18. Customer information is readily available within the Group. Personal relationships with the client are professional and foster repeat business. Feedback from customers is generated and acted upon. 19. Investment plans are researched and presented to the Senior Management team timorously with supporting cost benefit analysis and related to competitive advantage. Plans are also integrated to provide benefits across the company. 20. Qualifications • Essential: Professionally qualified in an appropriate discipline. Educated to degree level. Successful record in project management. • Ideal: Chartered Engineer. Fully conversant with railway structure and associated safety matters. 2.
