To offer a solution based Technical support service to the sales force and customer base; offering technical advice and support to customer project enquiries to find the most effective product solution for their civil engineering needs. The role will co ordinate the activities of Sales Marketing and Technical / Innovation Departments utilizing the individual’s Technical and Engineering skills with a blend of commercial acumen to ensure a solution based service is offered. Principal Accountabilities Technical Support To manage the technical hotline and co ordinate the appropriate actions from incoming enquiries. This will involve dealing with customer’s technical and application enquiries offer project support to the sales team and manage the escalation process to ensure the right solution / service is provided to the customer. Application – identify the right solution for the application Product – to provide the customer with in depth product knowledge and support Installation – understand the installation process and provide advice to the customer Manage the Certificates of Analysis and Conformance process working alongside the Technical Dept. Produce standard CAD standard details / drawings for products and their application and installation Specification CPD’s Organise CPD Seminars to relevant specified practices maximising customer awareness of the product offer and associated support services. Co ordinate with marketing the production of effective and relevant CPD materials and presentations. Produce a range of CPD presentations which are application based and fully qualify for CPD status with consulting engineers. Deliver CPD presentations alongside the sales team Work alongside technical and marketing to offer an effective and efficient samples and literature distribution process. Prepare technical specifications as a service to consulting engineers and clients for products. Technical information and literature requests – manage and co ordinate response Ensure specifiers and consulting engineers receive our utmost support for projects with their service expectations being met and exceeded in return for repeat value added specifications. To establish maintain and develop effective communication with relevant internal departments and stakeholders whilst ensuring appropriate internal resource data and systems are provided to support Key Consulting Engineer relationships To liaise and co operate with the manufacturing and technical departments to ensure that specifiers quality and service expectations are met and exceeded. Innovation / Product Development Identification of new trends new market areas and new product opportunities. Liaison with the technical and innovation department to work through the Fiberweb Gateway Process – and provide market analysis and information for new product and application opportunities. Assist in the product development process and launch of new products and innovations Technical Marketing To liaise and assist the marketing team with new and ongoing technical literature and web support services To support the marketing department in the production of technical data and installation guides for products Manage Fiberweb Geosynthetics’ technical and competitor literature library. To assist the company at exhibitions trade events and corporate events when required Commercial To manage and co ordinate response to incoming tenders and bills of quantities To interpret product specifications and Geosynthetic competitor’s products to assist in offering improved product solutions.
