Job description CECA NW Ltd is the leading association for civil engineering contractors in the North West and is seeking to appoint a Director to lead the delivery of its operations throughout the North West region. The post will be based in the Warrington area. Information on the work of CECA can be found on: http://www.ceca.co.uk/ Key accountabilities: Ensuring effective governance of CECA NW Delivering the annual business plan with priorities determined by members Enhancing the profile of CECA NW its members and the civil engineering sector Increasing the scale and reach of CECA NW through attracting new members Effective communications and development of relationships with members CECA National and third parties Exploring business opportunities for members Providing advice and market intelligence to members Facilitating inter member communications and business development opportunities Responsible and accountable to the Executive Committee of CECA NW Line management responsibility for the Regional Administrator for CECA NW Responsible for the financial management of CECA NW Person specification Essential Excellent written and oral communications skills Financially literate Ability to use all Microsoft Office applications Sensitive to the relationship between staff and (volunteer) members Politically astute with an understanding of the issues facing CECA NW its members and the sector Highly organised and can work under their own initiative work Responsive to members’ needs Consummate networker with excellent contacts General knowledge of the civil engineering sector Able to sell the benefits of membership Able to drive and willing to travel Effective motivator Desirable Experience of working for a membership organisation Experience of public affairs Experience of sales & marketing Knowledge of tendering and procurement Knowledge of training and skills Understanding of grant funding regimes Understanding of supply chains Application process Please send your full CV and a letter of application detailing how your skills and experience meet the requirements set out in the Person Specification.
