Job title: Site Supervisor Location: Christchurch Salary; 65k 85k+ Benefits (salary quoted in NZ dollars) Be part of the New Zealand construction boom which is being driven by redevelopment of the Canterbury area after the recent Earthquakes. A massive amount of development is happening as a result of the clean up operation in the Christchurch area which has resulted in a distinct shortage of engineering resource across both the North and South Islands of NZ. Be involved within this development through working with a Main Contractor who are known as one of New Zealand's leaders in construction. Main Duties As Site Supervisor you will be working very closely with the your Project Manager to effectively manage and monitor costs of the project, direct and manage a small and specialised engineering team, together with the management of specialist sub contractor programmes, control and monitoring of safety in line with the H&S plan and company standards and assisting with the compliance including Quality Systems. Requirements The successful candidate will bring to the role; · Previous demonstrated experience in delivering technically challenging structures related construction works · A willingness and competency to perform as part of a tight knit team. · A practical minded hands on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills. · A solutions orientated attitude with a desire to progress within your chosen field of engineering. · A degree within engineering or construction management is essential. Benefits A package which is in line with the demanding nature of the project which includes: Base salary of between 65 80k + package which includes project uplift, 10% Pension contributions, Assistance with visa’s if required, assistance with relocation costs and accommodation costs.
