Job Title: Project/Construction Manager ndash; Rail Environment Location: QLD, Australia. Pay Rate: $170 250k base + Package ndash; note salary package paid in Australia $ An opportunity has arisen within a Civil Engineering Contactor operating within the state of QLD. They are looking for a Project Manager/Construction Manager with previous Rail experience to be part of a team being put together in anticipation for the large investment being made in the rail sector within Queensland. Company This prestigious blue chip civil company is looking for an experienced Rail/Civil Project Manager who comes from a rail and civils background. The company provides a range of Civil Engineering construction services throughout Australia, with this position being part of a team involved in the development of major rail infrastructure happening in the state of Queensland. Work comprises of track/p way, comms and signalling, OLE works, heavy civil engineering elements, and crossing construction. Main Duties As Project/Construction Manager, you will be managing and controlling all aspects of the projects including Hamp;S, Commercial amp; Contractual Aspects, overall planning and programming of the works, staffing and management of the team, and management of the staff to meet project objectives.On Projects ranging in value from $30m $200m + other key responsibilities include: Managing all operational aspects of specific projectsWorking closely with the estimating and planning team in initial project start up phaseManaging the interfacing with the client and other key stake holders. Regularly reporting to the senior management on project progress and commercial matters. Providing information and managing tender submissions. Requirements The successful candidate will bring to the role; Previous demonstrated experience in delivering significant rail/civil projects through management of a team. Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or construction related qualification Min 8 + years post graduate experience Previously demonstrated experience in successfully delivering a rail based project. Chartership considered highly beneficial but not essential. A practical minded hands on approach coupled with excellent communication and people skills A solutions orientated attitude with a desire to be a leader.
